Weyerhauser Unit Sold

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Atlas Holdings LLC on Friday said it would pay an undisclosed sum to buy Weyerhauser Company's (WY) Trus Joist Commercial unit. The deal includes four manufacturing plants in Chino, Calif.; Hillsboro, Ore.; Delaware, Ohio and Stayton, Ore., 13 sales and engineering offices and about 428 employees. The deal now faces the negotiation and execution of a definitive agreement and approval of the board of directors of both parties. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2008.
